Thank You to My Readers – Freedom from Eating Disorders Is Possible!

by nina on November 1, 2011

eating disorder recoveryFirst of all I want to thank each and every one of you – not just for reading this site, downloading my books or watching my videos, but for showing up here for YOURSELF to recover, to seek out recovery, to seek out a permanent solution for your eating disorder and to learn to live with complete freedom.

Thank you for taking the chance – because I am sure that you have tried thousands of different methods and I am also sure that each seeming “failure” to recover has taken you back to the destructive eating disorder, to the unhealthy websites, to calorie counting programs and endless searches on the internet to “lose weight fast”…

But you are still here, so you do have faith and I want to Thank You for having the faith in yourself that true and full recovery from all eating disorders is possible.

I want to share this beautiful email from a reader that made me cry and reminded me why I do this, why I continue to give all that I can to help you and also to humble me by remembering what that pain of being in the middle of eating disorder hell was like:

I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for writing
your eBook. It has completely transformed my life. I have finally made
a breakthrough. I have not eaten a jam donut for over 20 years and
today I conquered my fear. I used positive affirmations and focussed
on why I’m willing to risk it. I’m determined to fully recover and
after reading your book, I know that I can. Thank you so much for
devoting your life to helping others like me. You are a true
inspiration. Kind regards, J
PS. I was born in Sydney as well!

Thank you J… You are conquering your fear and you will have full recovery and be able to pass on the message that no matter how long someone has suffered, absolute and complete recovery is possible.

We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face… we must do that which we think we cannot.
— Eleanor Roosevelt

Thank you all and please keep posting your questions, so that I can better help you and guide you to the full recovery that you can all have. It is within you – you just need to take the leap of faith, look fear in the face and act in spite of what it is saying.

Love and Freedom,

Hi Nina,

No matter what I try I always relapse. You are saying that you need to go out with friends, do some activities, etc. but I am working from home, moved to a State where I don’t know anyone, my husband has a job and take the only car we have to go to work each day, I’m anorexic/bulimic and can not get out of this circle. I don’t like to meditate nor write a journal. I’d like to switch my brain to concentrate on other things than food even if I’m at home all day – I have a project that I want to develop but don’t have the energy and drive. Has this happened to you?

Thanks for all your great work!

Take care.

Hi Alessandra,

I get the frustration and how “difficult” it may seem. But try to remember this – that is your eating disorder coming up with wonderful excuses for you about why you cannot recover.

Imagine the excitement and pleasure that you will get when you are able to focus on your project?

I recovered in a completely different COUNTRY with no car, job or support network. It is possible – from anywhere, at any time, car, no car, job, no job, husband, no husband… have faith and if you cannot write or meditate (I get it – your mind is scrambled) – VISUALIZE what your life COULD look like when you are free…

Today I did a special video just for you… coming soon…

Hi Alessandra,

Here is a video just for you and your particular question…

P.S I have totally been where you are at – I know how frustrating it is when you can see the potential projects and amazing life that you can live, and the eating disorder just keeps you stuck… but there is a way out and you can be free.
Thank you for showing up here, for posting questions and being REAL!!
