Eating Disorder Questions and New Teleseminar

eating disorder questionsI wanted to reach out to you all and let you know how much I appreciate all of your continued support through the reading of my emails, comments, emails of your success and personal emails full of brilliant questions regarding eating disorder recovery.

You are all amazing and clearly have a desire to recover – which is CRUCIAL when it comes to beating this insidious eating disorder, in whichever way it has manifested in your lives. I understand the struggle, the feelings of hopelessness as well as the desire to get better.

I am always here for you and sometimes I wish that I could do more. I want you all to experience the freedom that I have and to achieve FULL recovery.

I get a lot of direct emails and while I do my best to get to you all, I also run several other businesses and take courses as well as my own coaching which takes up several days out of my week.

So if I have not responded to you – please be patient – and please do not take it personally. It breaks my heart to not be able to write out a full detailed response, and I will never provide you with a generic answer or one that has not been considered and processed thoroughly and dedicated personally to you. That is why sometimes it takes time. I need to connect with what is going on for you and help you in the best way possible.

So I have been considering and thinking constantly about how best to get to all of your questions and provide useful, helpful information that is really going to take you to the next level and bring you peace, freedom and a recovery move in the RIGHT direction for you.

My answer has been to hold a Teleseminar in a few weeks where anyone can sign up and it will be absolutely free. I will cover all of the most essential topics, the common questions as well as my signature strategies that I have developed over time as well as some new ones that I have picked up after completing the Intuitive Eating Course.

I will give you further information about the Teleseminar in a few days, and in the meantime, please leave a comment about the topics that you want covered, the specific questions that you have and anything else that you want to mention.

I look forward to hearing your responses and questions. Remember this is about YOU and how I can help you, not to promote myself, so get involved and drop all of those burning questions, concerns and topics that you really want to hear more about.

This will also be a great way to hear from others and I will open the line for your questions, comments and other sharing as necessary. But please post your questions beforehand so that I can come up with the best possible platform to address your pressing needs and questions.

I think this is a great idea. I would really like to hear about your experience with exercise when you started the process and what you feel about it now. It has been something that I am really trying to work with and struggling. Thanks for your awesome site.

Hi Paige,
That you for your comment – and it is a great one. In brief, I had to take it really easy on the exercise initially, as I definitely had the purging through exercise addiction. About a year after I completely recovered I completely changed my perspective on exercise and now see it as such a powerful tool for changing and enhancing my mood, giving me confidence and keeping me alert.
I never look at the calorie counter and there is no “weight loss” reasons for my exercise.
I will definitely include this as a topic on the webinar.

RE: topics for teleseminar:
Transitioning from specific food plan (for 8 years) to intuitive eating — fear of losing structure in all areas of life. How do we have “structure” when we make everything free and open? I guess topic would be faith in our healthy choices???

Great topic Emily!!
Funny enough I am just about to post a blog about this.
I too was on restrictive food plans for almost a decade and I truly believed at the time that it gave me “structure”. But it was an externally imposed structure that kept failing me.
What I have today is INTUITION and a self guided process for making decisions about food and my life that I believe in 100%. And there is no failure because there are no externally imposed standards.
It comes from my body, mind and soul.

Awesome topic Emily – check out my response and you can also read a bit of a “follow up” to this topic in the latest post about breaking free from eating disorders and the INDEPENDENCE and freedom that it provides, based on our internal guidance system as the structure that we so desire.

The structure is already within us – we just have to tap into it!!
